Safir/ZENIQ and the Film Project REGARDLESS: A Cinematic Crash Landing?

18. December 2025

After the collapse of the TUPAN token, the film project REGARDLESS represents the next example of a Safir/ZENIQ product that was once promoted as a technological breakthrough – yet today is barely traceable. REGARDLESS was originally presented as an ambitious initiative intended to revolutionize the film industry through blockchain technology and tokenization. The vision was grand, and the marketing accordingly loud.

While Gernot Winter, in a recent update call, made a visible effort to shift responsibility away from himself and the original Safir/ZENIQ initiators, REGARDLESS illustrates particularly clearly how this system operated: a big stage, bold promises – and afterwards, little more than smoke and mirrors.

REGARDLESS: Bright Spotlights, little Substance

According to Gernot Winter, the aim of this film project was to “open up the film industry to blockchain and tokenization.” However, REGARDLESS does not appear to have developed into anything resembling a true blockbuster. Winter stated that the film was “presented to the community in Dubai” and screened in cinemas in Turkey. The project was marketed via Safir/ZENIQ and later through Xera.

Winter identifies a certain Ilhan Dogan as the project’s Product Owner – an individual who, based on our research, does not appear to be unknown within the world of network marketing. As for Dogan’s current activities, the call offered very little concrete information. The only reference made was to a so-called Regardless Academy, whose website was also linked in the presentation: Home | Regardless Academy.

REGARDLESS Token: Tokenization Without Tangible Results

REGARDLESS was originally intended to advance the tokenization of the film industry. Yet this is precisely where the core problem lies: neither in the call nor in publicly available information is it made clear what exactly was tokenized, what rights token holders were meant to have, or how any economic benefit was supposed to materialize.

Instead, the lasting impression is that “tokenization” primarily served as a narrative device – a buzzword used to make the project marketable. Whether the token ever represented a real claim, a cash flow, or an actual stake in the project remains unanswered.

Current Situation: No Status, No Point of Contact

Following the presentation, a brief exchange between Gernot Winter and his co-host Irma Okanovic highlights the lack of concrete information surrounding the REGARDLESS project. Winter states that he does not know what was planned for the project after its initial phase, what may have been planned later, or what is currently planned. He suggests that Okanovic might have more information.

Okanovic asks whether Winter has any way of contacting Ilhan Dogan and suggests that it would be useful to have him join a call to provide an update. Winter replies that he has only heard – approximately a year ago – about possible plans related to REGARDLESS, allegedly discussed in the context of Xera or XPRO rather than the NOMO/ZENIQ ecosystem. He emphasizes that this information is based solely on hearsay and that it lies outside his direct knowledge. Winter adds that he cannot guarantee whether Dogan can be reached or whether he would be willing to provide an update.

Okanovic then offers to attempt contact herself if Winter can pass along any contact details. The exchange continues in this manner for some time, before Okanovic concludes that it would be important for the community to receive clarity on the project’s status—regardless of whether the news is positive or negative.

A closer look at the film project’s website, however, reveals a detail that does not align at all with Winter’s stated distancing from REGARDLESS and Ilhan Dogan. When clicking on the menu item “REGARDLESS TOKEN” and selecting the “Buy Token” button, users are unexpectedly redirected to www.voo.one

.

Although the website itself provides no information regarding authorship or ownership, the listed address matches exactly the registered business address of VOO Flights GmbH, located at Liebenauer Hauptstraße 320, 8041 Graz, Austria. And who is listed as CEO & Founder of that company? Precisely: Gernot Winter.

Yet despite this direct linkage, Winter continues to deny any involvement in REGARDLESS and repeatedly emphasizes the independence of the various projects from one another. This contradiction is, to say the least, striking.

In the same call, Winter inadvertently articulates the core problem not only of REGARDLESS, but of many Safir/ZENIQ projects as a whole: today, he says, it is possible to gather hardly any information at the surface level about where these projects stand.

This statement is central. It describes a system in which projects were once aggressively marketed through centralized platforms, yet appear to have been structurally designed from the outset in such a way that they later evade traceability and accountability.

Our Conclusion: A Rotten Final Cut

REGARDLESS stands as a symbol of the gap between ambition and reality within the Safir/ZENIQ universe. What was once announced as an innovative project to tokenize an entire industry has today become little more than a name, a few memories of promotional events—and a long list of unanswered questions.

REGARDLESS thus fits seamlessly into a familiar pattern: high visibility in marketing, events, and announcements—yet no lasting, accessible, and verifiable project structure.

The fact that even years later no clear information about the project’s status can be provided points less to a temporary communication failure than to a structural breakdown. Tokenization without transparency ultimately remains exactly what REGARDLESS has become: a narrative without a verifiable continuation.
