@media: Helpless and evasive – where will it end?
We would like to thank Goran Ljubic for answering our questions at all, but unfortunately, the numerous @media customers are now no better informed than before, and many key questions remain unanswered.
For years, marketers associated with Lyconet and myWorld have been investing in the so-called @media project, in some cases with considerable sums of money. They were promised innovative telecommunications solutions, passive income streams and shares in a supposedly market-ready ‘media box’. But today, years later, many fundamental questions remain unanswered: Where has the money gone? Who is taking responsibility? And what, if anything, can investors still expect?
Goran Ljubic, who now acts as the owner of the platform ATMEDIA Europe Ltd., emphasises in a written statement his openness to investigative journalism and his commitment to transparency. However, his comments leave more questions than answers, especially for those who have been waiting for years for the promised distributions and results.
Who is responsible for what?
The new owner of @media claims to have originally been involved in the project as a marketer via Lyconet. According to his own statements, he recognised the potential of the platform and eventually took it over. Since then, he has been working on developing the project outside the MLM sector as a technological solution in the telecommunications industry.
At the same time, Ljubic repeatedly emphasises that ATMEDIA has neither contracts with marketers nor received any funds from them. Rather, all transactions were processed via Lyconet/myWorld. Nevertheless, the platform is to be further developed ‘for the marketers’ so that they can benefit if the project establishes itself on the market.
These statements raise key questions:
- If ATMEDIA, as the platform operator, has no connection to the marketers’ payments, who is legally responsible for the investments made to date?
- How realistic is it to expect a share in future success if there are no contractual claims against ATMEDIA?
- And how binding are the benefits that many depositors have been relying on for years?
Putting people off instead of informing them?
Numerous marketers consistently report unanswered support requests, unclear contractual relationships and a lack of communication, both on the part of Lyconet and on the part of those responsible for the project. When asked about possible distributions or repayments, the new @media owner refers to a ‘lack of responsibility’ and recommends contacting Lyconet directly.
But how can trust that has already been shaken be restored?
The reference to an alleged ‘lack of responsibility’ may be formally correct, but for many of those affected, it does little to inspire confidence. After all, the @media project continues to be associated with the Lyconet network, the products and licence packages are actively marketed by Lyconet, and the cooperation between Lyconet, myWorld and ATMEDIA remains expressly in place.
So what now? No one feels responsible? The money paid in is gone and no one is responsible?
Questions that remain unanswered:
Essential questions remain unanswered to this day:
- Who specifically bears responsibility towards those marketers who have invested in licence packages, Power Keys and Golden Power Keys via Lyconet?
- What are the realistic prospects for distributions or other benefits, and on what legal basis are these based?
- Why was the Mediabox repeatedly presented as market-ready even though, according to its own statements, the product is not yet ready for use?
- Who will take responsibility for previous promises and announcements if neither Lyconet nor ATMEDIA provide clarity?
- Is there a publicly available timetable showing measurable progress?
- Where have all the funds paid in gone?
Crisis of confidence instead of transparency
In its statement, the owner of ATMEDIA speaks of transparency and willingness to cooperate with the media. However, as long as key questions remain unanswered with references to ‘lack of responsibility’, the accusation remains: existing customers are being left alone with their uncertainty.
A project that has collected millions over the years cannot permanently hide behind formal jurisdictional boundaries. As long as neither Lyconet nor ATMEDIA make a binding statement about what happened to the money and what customers can expect in the future, the @media project remains an example of a distribution model that began with big promises – and threatens to end in a communication vacuum.
