NEXT STEP: From lobby group to European institution – BECM expands its structure to include a cooperative for legal interests (SCE)
The BE – European Cooperative Society for Legal Interests (SCE) aims to make cross-border interest representation more transparent, efficient and even more international in the future.
If those responsible, assets and business models already operate globally, then the structures for processing them must also become more global.
Four levels – one common objective
To address this development, we are strategically expanding our existing organizational structure. In addition to BE-EEIG as a European coordination platform , BECM Inc. for international activities outside Europe , and BEUB FlexKapG as organizational infrastructure, we are currently working on establishing BE – European Cooperative Society for Legal Interests (SCE).
At first glance, a European Cooperative Society for Legal Interests (SCE) appears to be a purely European instrument. In fact, however, it is of particular interest to victims from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, or other countries outside Europe.
Why “legal interests”?
The term “investor, consumer or claims cooperative” is deliberately avoided.
The term “legal interests” is significantly broader and opens up diverse possibilities in the long term.
It includes, for example:
- Investor interests,
- Consumer interests,
- Creditor interests,
- Shareholder interests,
- Information and transparency rights,
- Data protection interests,
- cross-border law enforcement,
- joint complaints to international authorities and institutions.
This would mean that the organization would not be limited to individual projects or specific categories of cases, but could exist in the long term as a European platform for the common legal concerns of its members everywhere.
What exactly is an SCE?
The abbreviation SCE stands for Societas Cooperativa Europaea , i.e., the European Cooperative Society.
This is a legal form created by the European Union that allows members from different states to join together in a common European organization.
Unlike traditional companies, a cooperative primarily serves to promote the common interests of its members. The SCE can operate across borders and offers a uniform legal framework within the European Union.
For BECM, the planned BE – European Cooperative Society for Legal Interests (SCE) will serve as a European member and interest platform in the future, while operational coordination will continue to be carried out via the existing BE-EWIV and the participating partner law firms.

Greater transparency for members and partners
At the same time, such a structure creates the basis for communicating more openly in the future about the cooperation with the law firms we commission and cooperate with.
While previously many processes had to be centrally coordinated for organizational reasons, an institutionalized membership structure opens up new opportunities for transparency, information and participation.
One of the most important goals is to place the representation of common interests on an even broader and more transparent basis.
More open communication with law firm partners
Another advantage is that the collaboration with the participating law firms can be made even more visible in the future.
In recent years, numerous legal proceedings have been prepared and handled jointly with specialized lawyers in various countries. At the same time, however, it has become apparent that large international cases involving a multitude of parties entail particular organizational challenges.
The new structure is intended to make cooperation between members, coordination offices and external law firms more transparent and efficient, without abandoning the necessary professional management of complex procedures.
The background
The reason for this lies in the structure of many international business models of recent years.
Many of those responsible originally come from Europe or have close ties to European countries. At the same time, their business models are often specifically marketed and promoted in traditional MLM strongholds outside the European Union. The affected participants, customers, and investors are therefore frequently located in North America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia, while the legal frameworks of the respective cases are spread across various jurisdictions.
In addition, those responsible often relocate their residences outside the European Union, while assets are distributed via international banks, holding structures, trusts, foundations, cryptocurrencies or other cross-border structures.
This is precisely where a European Cooperative Society will offer a decisive advantage for legal interests.
Advantages of such a structure
The advantages include, in particular:
- stronger negotiating position vis-à-vis authorities,
- Europe-wide pooling of similar claims,
- long-term institutional representation of victims,
- Greater transparency through democratic participation rights,
- Separation between member interests and operational procedures,
- Creation of a permanent infrastructure for cross-border claim enforcement.
Especially in international contexts such as myWorld , Lyoness, Safir, Zeniq , VOO, Homnifi , Mining Grid , Mining Race , TAGMarkets , etc., or similar structures, such an approach will open up new possibilities in the future.
“Especially in international matters, it repeatedly becomes clear that the biggest challenge lies not in a single procedure, but in the multitude of different responsibilities, legal systems, authorities and asset structures,” explained BECM CEO Ben Ecker at a group meeting in which the new structure was presented.
Conclusion:
The planned cooperative for legal interests is therefore expressly not intended to be aimed solely at people within the European Union.
Rather, it is intended to create a platform through which people from all over the world can efficiently pool their common legal interests, provided these have a connection to Europe.
This could create, for the first time, a lasting bridge between people affected worldwide and the legal, economic, or factual points of contact that are often located in Europe.
We are ready!
Note:
BE – European Cooperative for Legal Interests (SCE) is not a law firm and will not provide legal advice. Legal advice and representation are provided exclusively by licensed external attorneys and partner law firms.
