Blocktrade in limbo? Investors frustrated by delays, lack of transparency and technical problems

13. July 2025

The crypto trading platform Blocktrade is coming under increasing criticism. More and more investors are expressing dissatisfaction with a lack of transparency, delayed projects and technical difficulties. A journalistic enquiry to the company has so far gone unanswered, but the list of unanswered questions continues to grow.

Bluff or plan?

Blocktrade had announced ambitious plans in recent months: an IPO, the integration of a listed company, a Nasdaq listing, the conversion of its own platform currency BTEX into shares, and the establishment of a new investor portal. However, concrete progress remains difficult for everyone to understand.

‘Has the integration of a listed company already taken place or is it currently being implemented? Is there an update on the planned Nasdaq listing?’ reads a query submitted to this editorial team. There is also uncertainty surrounding the conversion of BTEX tokens into B shares. Investors want to know whether there is an offer and at what price their tokens can be exchanged, but so far there has been no response.

Silence on the investor portal

Another cause for concern is the investor portal, which has been announced for months and is intended to create transparency and provide investors with access to information. However, there are no concrete dates for its launch.

‘When will the new investor portal go live or how will access be structured in the future?’ investors ask repeatedly, to no avail. The company has also remained largely silent about the announced collaboration with eCredits and the planned listing of tokenised products.

Technical problems are piling up

While strategic projects are stalling, users are reporting practical difficulties. Technical problems seem to be part of everyday life:

  • Support requests are only answered after delays.
  • Transactions, for example with the cryptocurrency Solana, are sometimes significantly delayed.
  • Certain tokens, such as Paxgold, are suddenly no longer tradable; whether this is due to technical errors or strategic decisions remains unclear.
  • There are even apparent restrictions on the payout of certain assets.

Concerned investors are also asking about the whereabouts of previous investments, such as in security tokens, and are hoping for clarity about a possible conversion or future access to the investor portal.

A question of trust for investors

The company has repeatedly emphasised that it wants to operate with ‘complete transparency’ and keep investors regularly informed. However, from the perspective of many investors, there is currently a huge gap between these announcements and reality. The unclear ownership structure under the new parent company FSR Group is adding to the uncertainty.

As long as Blocktrade fails to provide answers to these pressing questions, the confidence of many investors is likely to continue to crumble. After all, when it comes to a trading venue that specialises in the management of sensitive crypto assets, one thing is paramount: transparency.
