After extensive preliminary review! Trust Your Universe/Universe Trading LLC: Regulatory warnings, rebranding, red flags!
What you can do
The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) and the German BaFin warned against offers from Universe Trading LLC (“Trust Your Universe”). BaFin stated that the company does not have a license under the German Banking Act (KWG) and is offering financial services in Germany without authorization. Later, rebrandings appeared under “Universe Academy” and “LegacyX.” Investors should exercise extreme caution and explore possible avenues for recovery.
Financial supervisory authorities warn:
- FMA (Austria): Public warning about Universe Trading LLC / Trust Your Universe.
- BaFin (Germany): Consumer notice about tyu-trade.com: Universe Trading LLC does not have KWG permission; the content justifies the assumption of unauthorized banking/financial services in Germany. BaFin adds in updates that the company later also appeared under “Universe Academy LTD” and “LegacyX” (including domains the-universe.academy, legacyx.de).
Regardless of the rebranding, the core message from the supervisory authority remains: no license – high risk for consumers.
Many domains, changing brands – a pattern
Numerous domains (e.g., tyu-trade.com, trust-your-universe.de, trustyouruniverse.org, tyu-trading.de) have circulated or are circulating in the context of Trust Your Universe/Universe Trading LLC. Such domain clustering and rebranding is known from similar cases and should be considered a clear warning sign. (The FMA explicitly names Trust Your Universe; further domain lists can be found in case studies and research.)
Rebranding: “Universe Academy” to “LegacyX”
After the warnings, there was a rebranding to Universe Academy and later to LegacyX (with a reference to Germany). BaFin noted the new names in its consumer notice; in addition, watchdog blogs document the rebranding chain and ongoing investigations. Important: Even new names do not replace the licensing requirements.
About the person: Dada Pey (also “Dada Saghdoshpey”) – public attributions
- In media and industry reports, Dada Pey is named as the initiator/promoter in the Trust Your Universe environment; in later rebranding phases, his name appears in connection with “Universe Academy” and “LegacyX.” These are press/blog attributions; the official warnings (FMA/BaFin) are directed against providers/domains, not against natural persons.
- For 2025, self-presentations and social media posts position Pey as the person in charge at the “Shiiro Business Academy.” At the same time, regulatory authorities, including those in New Zealand, warned against XPro and an associated program environment that included “Shiiro Academy.” These warnings concern offers/providers, not a specific person.
Classification & risks for investors
- Legal risks: Without permission, contracts are often provisionally invalid; payments may be reclaimed under civil law. (This requires reliable evidence of payments/business relationships.)
- High risk of loss: Rebranding, domain changes, and alternative jurisdictions make enforcement and recovery difficult.
- Communication patterns: Questionable payouts, changing contact persons, and “patience bonuses” are known from fraud cases – not proof, but red flags. (Media reports regularly take a critical view of comparable “miracle software” promises.)
What those affected can do now
- Secure evidence: Document account statements, wallet hashes/TxIDs, contract documents, emails, chat logs, and screenshots of portals/terms and conditions chronologically.
- Track payment methods: Record bank and crypto flows (including exchanges/OTC desks); this is the basis for chargeback/recovery approaches and criminal charges.
- Consider civil legal action: examine dunning/legal action against claimants (including payment service providers), depending on the case, also provisional security (accounts, coins).
