Kastech Group International: Lots of marketing, little substance
In recent weeks, users have repeatedly contacted our editorial team with complaints about the ‘Kastech Group International’ platform. Their reports share a common pattern of unclear business structures, elusive contact persons and the impression that services are being advertised without any verifiable company background. Research by our editorial team shows: The doubts of those affected are understandable.
A company without a verifiable registered office
Content linked on the platform leads, among other things, to an address in Portugal:
Kastech Group International, Apartado 505 VDL, Almancil, Faro 8135-034, Portugal
However, ‘Apartado’ is a post office box within the Vale do Lobo resort area. According to current research, no entry could be found in the Portuguese company register (RNPC) that could be assigned to this address or the name ‘Kastech Group International’.
According to current interpretation, the use of a post office box without a valid address could violate:
- Decreto-Lei 7/2004 (Portugal)
- § 5 TMG (Germany)
- Art. 5 of the EU E-Commerce Directive
Complaints: difficult to reach contact persons, unclear services
Several affected parties describe — with varying details — among other things:
- missing or delayed responses to support requests
- nested redirects to TLN/VOW-like structures
- Advertising messages that were sometimes perceived as aggressive
- No recognisable economic or legal background
- Promises of high returns without verifiable risk warnings
Some report that contact persons were no longer available after registration or communicated exclusively via social media without an imprint.
Reference to automated funnel structures (‘Supported by Kartra’)
Several emails related to the project contain the note ‘Supported by Kartra’. Kartra is a commercial funnel and automation system that is often used in the context of unregulated online marketing and token projects.
The use of such a system suggests a sales-oriented structure rather than a formal corporate organisation.
Connection to TLN/VOW promoters – without a recognisable company structure
In the context of the platform, there are references to individuals who are active in the VOW/TLN promotion area, including, among others:
- Stefan Baumüller (‘VOW maximalist’)
The Kastech website features presentations on ‘hubs’ that show parallels in content to well-known structures from the VOW/TLN ecosystem.
However, no separate corporate entity, legal form or regulated basis for ‘Kastech Group International’ can be found in EU registers or in known offshore jurisdictions.
Legal assessment: High risks for consumers
From a consumer protection perspective, the combination of the following points is considered to be significantly risky:
- No register entry
- No recognisable legal form
- PO box instead of company headquarters
- No information on responsible persons or beneficial owners
- Marketing of token-based or investment-like concepts
- Connections to the controversial VOW/TLN ecosystem
- Use of unregistered promoters
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the brokerage or promotion of unregulated financial instruments may already trigger licensing requirements under:
- § 32 KWG (DE)
- WAG 2018 / VAG (AT)
- FINIG (CH)
Without a registered company, such a licence is not apparent according to standard supervisory practice.
Lack of transparency regarding economic responsibility
In the absence of a registered legal entity, it remains unclear:
- who is liable for contracts
- who is the beneficial owner
- who receives funds
- who would be available in the event of a dispute
Such a lack of transparency is considered a classic warning sign by financial market regulators.
Conclusion: clarification needed – and caution advised
As things stand, there are considerable doubts about the seriousness and legality of the structure behind ‘Kastech Group International’.
Until clarification, we advise those affected not to make any further payments and to secure all communication records.
